Verizon works all around campus and Isla Vista. There were no problems found anywhere on the map. Indoor coverage is as good as outdoor coverage. Good service received on all floors of all the dormitories at UCSB. Service is also available in large lecture halls on campus such as:
- Campbell Hall
- Events Center
- Broida Hall
- Chemistry Hall
All Internet features including text messaging are available on campus and around Isla Vista.

Sprint's coverage is very consistent and dependable in all areas of Isla Vista and UCSB. Sprint PCS coverage is available without roaming everywhere on campus and Isla Vista. No trouble in buildings including lecture halls such as:
- Campbell Hall
- Events Center
- Broida Hall
- Chemistry
All data services including Vision are available everywhere.

- Manzanita Village (southwest corner of campus)
- Northwest part of campus from Lot 32 to Lot 30
- Ocean side of Del Playa
- Southeast portion of campus starting from intersection at UCEN road down to Campus Point
- East side of Anacapa Hall and Santa Cruz Hall
- Marine Biotechnology Laboratory
- Floors 3-6 of San Miguel and San Nicolas Hall had weaker reception
In all other areas of campus and Isla Vista, full coverage is available.

- Northern part of Lagoon area outside of San Miguel and San Nicolas Halls
