An overview of communications infrastructure inside UCSB buildings.
Typical hardware configurations used for station wire placement in offices, labs, open office space, conference rooms, classrooms, etc., in support of the campus voice, data, and CATV wiring. Communications jacks are supported in recessed and surface-mount configurations and in wiremold using simplex and duplex wall plates.
In-wall electrical boxes, built-in and surface-mounted wiremold inserts, surface-mount boxes and raceway, and other physical arrangements provided by a contractor for support of wire termination and access at the user (i.e., workstation outlet) end.
