Voice Mail for Faculty and Staff

Service Description

Add Voice Mail to your telephone service to take advantage of these features:

• Record a personal greeting and alternate greetings (up to four minutes each)
• Retrieve messages locally or remotely
• Play back, answer, forward, save, create, or discard messages
• Store up to 30 four-minute messages*
• Create distribution lists
• Forward all calls to voice mail
• Receive a visual Message Waiting Indicator on a single-line telephone
• Receive a visual Message Waiting Indicator on a Panasonic multi-line digital telephone system instrument

Voice Mail Outdial

Outdial is an optional voice mail feature for Voice Mail subscribers who need to be notified when important messages are waiting. When the Outdial feature is activated, the voice mail system sends a notice to the subscriber's cell phone or pager whenever a voice mail message marked "Urgent" arrives. There is an additional monthly fee for this service.

Greeting Only Voice Mail

While the standard Voice Mail service allows callers to leave messages, Greeting Only Voice Mail service plays a custom greeting or announcement to callers, but the caller cannot leave a message. This is useful for redirecting callers or providing information such as office hours. This service may also be ordered in conjunction with a temporarily disconnected telephone line, so that callers receive a custom announcement. This mailbox is available for a small monthly charge.
