The UCSB Directory Service is an electronic database containing data for each student, faculty and staff member at UCSB. Emeriti and affiliates of various kinds are also included. If you are included in either the Registrar's database of students or the UCSB Payroll/Personnel (PPS) system, you will also have an entry in the UCSB Directory Service.
Using your web browser, you may register with the UCSB Directory Service, establish a password, and modify certain fields (e.g., email address, telephone number, working title, and working department). You are encouraged to keep your personal data up to date because the UCSB Directory is the source for the printed directories published by the campus and by the Associated Students. The UCSB Directory is also the place where people, including UCSB's campus operators, are likely to look for information on how to contact you.
Communications Services' Campus Directory of Departments, Offices, and Services, familarly known as the Blue Pages, is an online listing of telephone and address information for UCSB departments, offices, and services.
To update current departmental listings, an authorized departmental representative should send an email to help@commserv.ucsb.edu. The email should include both the current listing and the requested change.
UCSB Mail Services maintains an alphabetical listing of Zip+4 Mail Codes for UCSB departments.
Alphabetical, online index of UCSB's website.
UCSB's U-Mail student directory allows users to search for email addresses of registered UCSB students who have active U-Mail accounts.
The UC Directories web page includes links to online directories for UC system divisions, other UC campuses, and UC national laboratories.
Campus Directory
Once each year, usually in August, records are extracted from the UCSB Directory Service (described above) and published in a printed directory called the Campus Directory. The Campus Directory also includes data and contact information for UCSB departments and organizations.
The Campus Directory is intended exclusively for the use of university personnel, and is provided only to faculty and staff. Communications Services sends out an annual request for new directory orders, and the directories are delivered to departments in the fall.
Use our Order Campus Directories form to request directories for your department. Directories can also be ordered with our online Service Request Form, or by calling Customer Services at extension 8700.
NEW! Campus customers in the UCSB.EDU domain can also download a PDF version of the current UCSB Campus Directory.
Student Directory
The Associated Students of UCSB publish an annual Student Directory, which includes telephone numbers for university departments, faculty, and staff. Off-campus agencies or vendors can obtain a copy of this directory by visiting the Associated Students office in the University Center. Their telephone number is 893-2566.
Verizon Santa Barbara Directory
Each spring an email message is sent to every department requesting changes, additions, or deletions to their current listings in the yellow or white pages of the Verizon Santa Barbara printed directory. Any department can request a listing in this directory. The monthly charges from Verizon for the listing will be passed on to the department through Communications Services' voice services billing.
In the winter, a limited number of copies of the Verizon Santa Barbara directory are available to be picked up from Central Stores. Communications Services will notify departments when those copies are available.
